Jason Simonds Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) Hash, Inc. Animation Master no longer owns hash.com. We are not going away. Just moving to animationmaster.com, The forums is moved. I do not know when the hash.com will go away but probably in the next few days. My check list: forums I still need to work on the banner. But since we have to move to 5.0 soon i may skip it until I have time to fully update the forums software to 5.0 FAQ I need to write a bit of code to fix the links but it's there Store reports Will load slow since the database is on the old server, but working on moving the database to the new server Other things I'm forgetting now hash.com main page I need to send a email about this Because of the type of move this, most things will get a subdomain since I can not do this in one day/move Everything that links to hash.com will go away and I do not think I will be able to keep redirects in place, so update your book marks. For now our emails will stay but will soon be moving to animationmaster.com Edited September 14 by Jason Simonds Updated what is working Quote

Jason Simonds Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 I small note, I'm not getting email from the forums at this time because the new host is using internal mail setting and I bought the new host under Hash.com so when the email is sent, the mail server returns user not found. I'm working it but it's not high on my list right now Quote
Jason Simonds Posted September 16 Author Posted September 16 The forums send email to @hash.com addresses is fixed. I see it gets flagged as spam at lot the forums comes from forums@animationmaster.com Quote

Fuchur Posted September 24 Posted September 24 For instance your signature does have hash.com links in them. And some of the links in the upper menu at "more" are hash.com based. Quote

If i download the XML for Jason's "NewNew" Theme, none of the text of those menus nor the links they represent are contained in the Theme code. I presume some other HTML document creates those menus and is calling up the Theme to decide what the colors will be. Quote
Jason Simonds Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 I think i fixed some of the coding, but I will have to test it. I have not worked in html in some time so I need to make sure my coding it right. But I'm going to pull an all nighter Saturday and work through some of the major things going on. Including the banner and hard coded hash.com links. I never thought we(Hash, Inc.) would not have hash.com so a lot of things are hard coded to that. I'm working hard to make all links work with out a URL /uploads/monthly_2025_07/DarrinS001.jpg.4a46c46c3ce2958d41361df77fe29277.jpg <img src="/uploads/monthly_2025_07/DarrinS001.jpg.4a46c46c3ce2958d41361df77fe29277.jpg" alt="buildings" class="scale-on-hover rounded-image"> Quote

Sure, I updated my signature too and just wanted to tell you that there are some links still in there too for your signature. They are saved in the database of the forum very, very likely... might have to do with the "more..." links too... I do not have access to the forum administration area (could check if I can figure it in the database of cause, but I am pretty sure there is an interface for that too) Let me know if there isn't one and I'll see if I can do something about it. Jason Simonds Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 This weekend and squirrel won. I did not get everything done and some of the things like the store are not going well. Since I have not had time to update things we use in a long time, they are way behind. I think the next step is build a VM so I can go step by step the new server has versions for software we can just jump to. So I will build a VM, install php#, update, install php# update, move to the new server at php8.1 Quote

I know that reports is slow, and I'm working on a fix for that. Whats going on right now is the database is really large, and I need to talk to our new host about importing it. Reports is on the new server but the database is on the old server. When I took over Animation Master server I went from windows to Linux. When I took over the uploaded data was store as files, but the files had the full path 'e:\http\reports\uploads\0001074-biastrouble3.mov' I did some hacky links to get the those to work. I saw that the the config had the ability to store the files in the database and I used that. When I moved server it was only a few config changes to import the file but now that we are using a shared host I do not have access to the config anymore. When i get a bit more down the road on what needs to be done, I'm going to talk to our host about importing the file Quote
Jason Simonds Posted November 16 Author Posted November 16 A small step forward. I'm having a bit of trouble with haproxy right now, but I made a move forward so I can start moving sites to the a test VM server so I can make step by step update with out risk of major outages. I need to set it up to forward to a 2nd host if match not found but I can not get that working today. https://test.animationmaster.com:453 1 Quote
