  1. In the modelling window there should be a button at the right. There is no shortcut key by default, but if you want to set one you can do that by going to Tools > Customize > Keyboard: Best regards *Fuchur*
  2. Happy 2026 everybody. Best regards *Fuchur*
  3. Hi everybody, I just wanted to show a small piece I just finished with A:M for my YT channel Intro: Hope you like it! Best regards *Fuchur*
  4. Thank you very much Robert. Hope everbody has a great pre-xmas time. Best regards *Fuchur*
  5. Hey everybody. the advent time is often pretty stressful. To make it a little funny from time to time, a little advent calendar. Each day a new door will be opened till 24th of December showing a small funny, heartful or just nice video clip to bring you a little joy in this pre christmas time. And if you wonder: Yes, the image is of cause done in Animation:Master. I wish you a beautiful pre christmas time and please remember to check in each day to open the new door of the day: https://advent.targomed.de/adventskalender.php?lan=en Best regards *Fuchur*
  6. Hi guys, what would be the most current version of Blender the plugin works with at the moment? Here are the legacy blender releases to be downloaded and I tried a few, but I do not get the right combination as it seems. (I want to convert an FBX file to MDL and this is likely one of the best ways to do it) Ok, found the right combination: - Blender3.0 - Newest version from this threads entry post. Best regards *Fuchur*
  7. A:M isn't a pocket / moveable software. It saves data to the windows registery and the path/strings in there are going to be the same per version. (meaning 19.5, 19.0, 18.0, etc. not 19.5 e, f, f1, etc.) This is pretty normal behaviour for most windows software which is not "moveable" (most of them) It is not an "issue" but by design like this. Best regards *Fuchur*
  8. As far as I can see there is no mentioning of any texture files neighter in the MTL nor in the OBJ. (opened it in a text editor to search for it) Not sure about what this means, but I think there should be some filenames or pathes, right? Best regards *Fuchur*
  9. Pseudo code, which is somewhere between PHP and JavaScript syntax and has a couple of assumptions of what kind of objects / methods / functions are available in the A:M code base, but this should more or less do it: function get_bordering_cps(model, selection){ var cp_ids = new Array(); var border_cp_ids = new Array(); var patch_ids = new Array(); var cur_patch_cp_ids = new Array(); var cur_cp_id = -1; var cur_patch_id = -1; var cur_patch = new Object(); cp_ids = selection.getCPs(); patch_ids = model.getPatchIds(); var i = 0; var j = 0; var k = 0; while(i < cp_ids.length){ cur_cp_id = cp_ids[i]; j = 0; while(j < patch_ids.length){ cur_patch_id = patch_ids[j]; cur_patch = model.getPatchFromId(cur_patch_id); cur_patch_cp_ids = cur_patch.getCPs(); k = 0; while(k < cur_patch_cp_ids.length){ if(in_array(cur_patch_cp_ids[k], cp_ids)){ if(!in_array(cur_patch_cp_ids[k], border_cp_ids)){ border_cp_ids[border_cp_ids.length] = cur_patch_cp_ids[k]; } } k++; } j++; } i++; } return border_cp_ids; } It is pretty simplified, but hopefully should illustrator what I am talking about. Best regards *Fuchur*
  10. In short: - CP1 (red) is part of the initial selection, which contains of CP1-4. - Now search for patches, which contain CP1. You come to Patch 1, Patch 2, 8 and Patch 9 in this case. Now select the CPs of those additional patches and you have the bordering CPs. (bright blue) - Do not reselect the once you already know (dashed lines) - Repeat the same with all CP 3-4. Not sure if it always works, but I cannot think right now of an occation where it wouldn't. Best regards *Fuchur*
  11. Try to use the Patch-Select tool to find out. It seems to be pretty possible if you ask me if that one works as it does. Anyway this is not my feature or feature request... I am just explaining what we are talking about here. If I would try to solve the problem by code, I would search for patches which have selected CPs in them which patches are not yet in my selection. It might already work like that. Or if the patch select tool's code can be used in a better way, simulate a click of the patch tool facing 1px / (a small amount) outside of the current border of a patch. I think the first approach is much simpler. Best regards *Fuchur*
  12. For me it would be this: 1.) Select the purple group of CPs in the middle. 2.) Press Invert button. 3.) This will select the blue once. With added border CPs I would say it should select the CPs necessary to get rid of the grey ring, meaning all of it should be blue but the purple one. Best regards *Fuchur*
  13. Had to first give it a shortcut (was not assigned first). It does something different, but likely not what it should. (see Screenshots) So there is some kind of border now (four additional CPs around that, but I would have thought only 4 in the middle should now not be selected) Best regards *Fuchur*
  14. Hey Jason,

when you are finished with the other work (an the hang over is gone ;)), it would be great to get a FTP account for the new server again. I think my current one only works for the old server.

    Best regards
    *Fuchur*

  15. This should be done already. Best regards *Fuchur*
  16. Just a small image for the move. Best regards *Fuchur*
  17. This is one I found too and Steffen already fixed it, but it is only in the non-public alpha currently. Best regards *Fuchur*
  18. If you use the relative positioning like that "/uploads/monthly/..." you will not be able to put it into a subfolder later on. Might be fine, but be aware of this. If you go with "uploads/monthly..." (no leading slash) or "./uploads/monthly..." you can avoid that "problem" and it really would be a relative link based on the current document (for instance index.php or whatever it is because it is rewritten). Best regards *Fuchur*
  19. Sure, I updated my signature too and just wanted to tell you that there are some links still in there too for your signature. They are saved in the database of the forum very, very likely... might have to do with the "more..." links too... I do not have access to the forum administration area (could check if I can figure it in the database of cause, but I am pretty sure there is an interface for that too) Let me know if there isn't one and I'll see if I can do something about it. Best regards *Fuchur*
  20. For instance your signature does have hash.com links in them. And some of the links in the upper menu at "more" are hash.com based.
  21. Thanks for letting us know and the work Jason. Best regards *Fuchur*
  22. Actually, from my experience, it is more work. What I have found is: The cheaper your printer, the more work you have to put in to keep it functioning nicely. I have a P1S by Bambu Labs nowadays and it works pretty nicely from the get go. My former Maker Bot Replicator 2 was nice but much more trouble and if you wanted trouble (meaning: Less time printing more time fiddeling with it) get a Replicator 2x. (even when i got it and it was a two headed printer, which was way cooler, I just printed everything on my Rep2, because it was THAT much more reliable) Today my P1S is pretty much ready to go without much more to do. Actually the P1S was less expensive than my Maker Bot Replicator 2 was, but if you think of how many years have been inbetween those, it makes sense again. My Elegoo Mars (resin printer) is fun too, BUT you have to handle pretty toxic materials meaning you should wear protective gear, have to use UV lights to harden the outcome, need to wash it with chemicals, etc. And as mentioned before: If you want to "only" create decorative figures, Resin printers are very nice. If you want to create "functional" stuff with it, you likely want to go with FDM machines, UNLESS you are only using it to create molds for other procedures afterwards. (but at least if you want it to do by your own, that one is tricky... I will not put a smelting furnace with thousands of degrees in my yard to create iron parts or something like that. ) Best regards *Fuchur*
  23. In general that should work... it is all about the slicer so, not the printer itself. Best regards *Fuchur*
  24. Yes it can be done. Depends on the material which once work. Some are pretty toxic so, but it depends. But you can easily go smaller than 0.1mm (100 microns) with a resin printer... If you go with 10-50 microns (depends on the printer if you can) you will likely do no longer see the rings with bare eyes. Still they will be there especially with round shapes you print in the "wrong" direction / rotation. (sometimes you can not do it differently) These are some of mine with my resin printer where you can see it on the sphere stuff too: https://www.patchwork3d.de/blog-5-en/schmuck-aus-dem-dlp-drucker-elegoo-mars-1029 But the problem with resin printers is: You need more time and it is more trouble for less strong parts. If you want to do small figures, resin is great, if you need strong parts to be useable in real world scenario you want a FDM machine. Best regards *Fuchur*
  25. Perfectly executed commercial for donuts I would say. Very nicely done. Best regards *Fuchur*
